Please find below reference to a call for proposals under the EU’s Global Climate Change Alliance+ (GCCA+) initiative, entitled « Innovations for climate smart agriculture at small holders scale in West Africa», under which Liberia is one of the eligible countries. This grant possibility targets non-profit non-governmental organisations, farmers and producers organisations as well as territorial or local authorities as lead applicants. Partnership with at least one co-applicant of a different nature than the lead applicant is mandatory in the context of the call; in addition to the categories mentioned before, co-applicants can be research institutes or private sector actors as well. Where the applicant is established in an EU member State, the co-applicant must compulsorily be established in the project implementation country (Liberia).
This call is coordinated by the GCCA+ West Africa Project Coordination Unit (GCCA+ WA PCU), made available by Expertise France, and hosted within the Regional Agency for Agriculture and Food (RAAF) of ECOWAS. The PCU of GCCA+ WA will thus be the contact point for successful applicants under this call for proposals. Applicants are expected to contribute with co-financing that is not sourced from the European Union neither Expertise France.
Please note that the deadline for submission of concept notes is 28 May 2020 and that an information session will be organised in the form of a webinar on 25 May at 10:00 UTC.
